Creating a comprehensive artificial neuron

I’ve been thinking about what it would take to create a truly complete artificial neuron. This neuron would be an "every-neuron" a template that could encompass neurons with different morphological characteristics, from pyramidal neurons to purkinjes.

Examples of things that I think it would need to include would be an axon representation (to create speed differences based on myelination), dendrites (for spatial summation etc.), excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitter representations, receptors, second messenger systems that modify synapses, etc. Also, a general ability to search for other neurons to synapse with.

So, what else do you think a comprehensive artificial neuron would need to include?
