[About Yogyakarta]

Yogyakarta is the cradle of civilization on Java. This city was the seat power that produced the magnificent temples of and in 8th and 9th century and the new powerful Mataram kingdom of the 16th and 17th century. Yogyakarta is known as Neverending Asia for its endless appeals. This city is one of the foremost cultural centers of Indonesia. From climbing the magnificent Borobudur temple, visiting the famous Alun-Alun, for watching silversmiths produce amazing jewelries at and also learn to make one yourself. Maybe try a splurge shopping up to road, relaxing Javanese Spa and many more ways to never get bored in this relatively small yet bustling city.

From natural wonders, local art and traditions, example of Javanese heritage to delicious culinary delights and Ramayana ballet dance. Yogyakarta is indeed a city with numerous attraction to enjoy.

[Get Here]
There are numerous daily flights from and to Yogyakarta. There are many regular train services between Yogyakarta and other major cities, such as Semarang, Solo, Purwokerto, and many more. Yogyakarta is also easily accessible by road in cars or public overland bus services.

We are looking forward to seeing you on 13 – 14 November 2018 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. If you don’t mind, please share this email to your colleagues. Below, we also attach the conference poster.

Thank you

Kind Regards,

Welcome to /r/artificial

/r/artificial is the largest subreddit dedicated to all issues related to Artificial Intelligence or AI. What does AI mean? Find out here!

Guidelines:

All submissions are moderated through “collaborative filtering” approach. To help better align content with the expectations of the audience and improve the quality of the subreddit, submissions that receive overall negative feedback may be removed.

Submissions should generally be about Artificial Intelligence and its applications. If you think your submission could be of interest to the community, feel free to post it.

Submission’s title should clearly indicate what the submission is about.

Try to avoid posting submissions that seem like a self-advertisement. Those usually contain clickbaity titles, speculations or overstatements.

If you want to advertise on /r/artificial, the best way is by doing an IAMA.

Consider doing a little research before asking a question to add more context. Providing more context usually leads to more insightful discussions.

Personal attacks will result in a cooling period of 7 days. Just don’t do this.

Getting started with Artificial Intelligence

The topic of Artificial Intelligence is very broad and there are many good learning resources available on the internet and in print.

However, to get started with Artificial Intelligence it’s enough to understand the following two books:

Hands-On Machine Learning with Scikit-Learn and TensorFlow: Concepts, Tools, and Techniques to Build Intelligent Systems

Deep Learning (Adaptive Computation and Machine Learning series)

If you prefer a lecture/tutorial style learning, then the best resource is:

Hvass Laboratories Tensorflow Playlist

For Reinforcement Learning, please refer to the following lectures:

Joelle Pineau – Introduction to Reinforcement Learning

Pieter Abbeel – Deep Reinforcement Learning

Interested in doing an IAMA?

We offer an opportunity for companies and individuals working on interesting problems in AI to introduce their work to the community through the IAMA. Please contact /u/dejormo for more information.

We would love to hear from you!

All the papers will be blind submitted (author’s names are not allowed) in English. All submissions will be peer reviewed by the Scientific Committee, for originality, technical content and relevance. The final acceptance will be based upon double blind peer review of the full-length paper, and based on this the final decision will be to be considered either as ORAL or POSTER presentation. IMPORTANT: Camera-ready versions with more than four authors will not be accepted for publication.

All papers accepted in the main conference (oral presentation) will be published in the “Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems (JIFS)“, which is indexed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR)-THOMSON REUTERS with Impact Factor 1.426 (2017).

A small number of excellent papers presented at the conference will be selected to be published as an extended version in an Open Call of an Special Issue of the Information Processing & Management Journal (IPM), which is indexed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR)-THOMSON REUTERS with Impact Factor 3.44 (2017).

Papers accepted as posters will be published in a Special issue of the Research in Computing Science Journal, ISSN 1870-4069 (Indexed by DBLP, LatIndex, Periodica).
